Heather started her own business in February 2024, contracting out her services for support in project, data, and grant management, especially in the field of environmental restoration and monitoring.
With a background in ecology and water management, especially for nature-based solutions, she moved to Nijmegen in 2022 and changed her focus from working for public administration to NGOs.
She currently focuses on river restoration across Europe, helping to create free-flowing rivers to allow the natural function of ecological processes. Her main client is the European Open Rivers Programme which aims to remove 500 dams across Europe by 2029, restoring more than 500km of rivers.
