This requires a combination of listening and storytelling skills. In this workshop\, we’ll work on both. \nThis session is especially designed for HAN Molecular Science students as a warm-up to the SMB Network meeting later that day\, providing the perfect opportunity to immediately practice your newly learned networking skills. Of course\, other interested participants are more than welcome to join! \nWe start by fine-tuning and adapting your story for any audience. Then\, we practice how to tell this story effectively in a networking setting. This includes identifying the right people\, starting conversations\, and\, just as importantly\, knowing when and how to exit a conversation when it’s not the right fit. You’ll also learn when and how to follow up successfully after a meeting. \nThis will be an interactive & fun workshop with ample opportunities to test and refine new versions of your story and tactics. DESCRIPTION:Het Business Angels Network Nijmegen (BANN) is een initiatief van Briskr en OostNL om angel investors in contact te brengen met veelbelovende startups in health en hightech in de metropoolregio Arnhem-Nijmegen. In drie evenementen per jaar krijgen in totaal 12 startups de kans om hun business idee en investeringsmogelijkheid te pitchen aan een publiek van geïnteresseerde investeerders. De normale investeringsrange ligt tussen de 50K en 300K\, maar in sommige gevallen kan een combinatie worden gemaakt met andere investeringskanalen. Het evenement is alleen op uitnodiging. \nDe bijeenkomsten worden gehouden in Slot Doddendael in Ewijk (naast Nijmegen)\, beginnen rond 16:00 uur en worden gecombineerd met een diner tot 20:00 uur. \nVoor investeerders \nHet BANN is een netwerk van meer dan 100 investeerders die geïnteresseerd zijn in gezondheids- en hightechsectoren. Hiervan zijn meestal zo’n 40 investeerders aanwezig tijdens de bijeenkomsten. Voorafgaand aan de bijeenkomst ontvang je informatie over de startups om te bepalen of een bezoek gerechtvaardigd is. Therefore\, it’s necessary that you understand how valuation works\, that you know how best to prepare for negotiations and how to determine the conditions. This is what this workshop offers. It helps create a better understanding of company valuation and investment terms as well as the process to reach an investment deal. \nUnderstanding the other site of the table\nInvestors and entrepreneurs both want a deal that makes them happy. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming workshop Intellectual Property (IP) and AI (Artificial Intelligence). The competition in this sector steadily increases and the possession of intellectual property rights has shown to boost company growth and increase the chances of obtaining financing. \nIP for AI Inventions \nThis workshop focuses on understanding the basic concept of IP and when IP can be requested for inventions involving AI. \nEP&C will address the following subjects: \n\nIP-rights\nNovelty and Inventive step\nPatenting computer implemented inventions\nLatest developments in patenting AI\n\nPatent searching \nDuring the second part of the workshop we plan an interactive session where we will teach you the basics of patent searching.
