DESCRIPTION:Join us for our upcoming workshop Intellectual Property (IP) and AI (Artificial Intelligence). The competition in this sector steadily increases and the possession of intellectual property rights has shown to boost company growth and increase the chances of obtaining financing. \nIP for AI Inventions \nThis workshop focuses on understanding the basic concept of IP and when IP can be requested for inventions involving AI. \nEP&C will address the following subjects: \n\nIP-rights\nNovelty and Inventive step\nPatenting computer implemented inventions\nLatest developments in patenting AI\n\nPatent searching \nDuring the second part of the workshop we plan an interactive session where we will teach you the basics of patent searching. You will learn how you can innovate more efficiently and thus save time and money by using patent information that is freely accessible online. For this part of the workshop\, it is advisable to bring along a laptop. \nTopics RVO will discuss are: \n\nFinding relevant classification codes for your invention or area of interest\nFinding relevant patents for your invention\nBeing capable of using Espacenet to achieve the above two goals\n\nSpeakers \nValeria De Matteis\, PhD\, European Patent Attorney at EP&C \nSlavisa (Sasha) Milovanovic\, PhD\, Trainee Patent Attorney at EP&C \nRienk Rienksma\, PhD\, Intellectual Property Advisor at RVO (Netherland Patent Office\, Part of the Netherlands Enterprise Agency) \nGood to know\nThe workshop is facilitated in English. Participation in the workshop is free for everyone\, including drinks and bites.
